Job summary

Falmouth Hospital Association in Massachusetts is seeking an experienced registered nurse to coordinate total nursing care for patients, lead the nursing and care team, and provide patient and family teaching.

You will practice according to department standards, maintain licenses and certifications, participate in emergencies, manage post-operative and telemetry patients, and document within the EMR. Rotating days/evenings, 36 hours per week with every other weekend and rotating holidays.

Qualifications

• English reading, writing and communication required.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; MA RN licensure.
• CCHC Pharmacology and Arrhythmia exams completed before start date.

Purpose of Position:

Coordinates total nursing care for patients. Participates in patient and family teaching. Demonstrates leadership abilities by working cooperatively with nursing and other patient care team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing in the clinical setting.

• Addresses the age-specific needs of patients, specifically adolescents, adults, geriatric adults.

• Manages patients with chest drainage devices.
• Manages patients with Intravenous Therapy.
• Uses Electronic Medical Record appropriately and accurately.
• Manages patients receiving epidural analgesia.
• Demonstrates knowledge and skill in administration and assessment of patient response to cardiac medications.
• Manages patients on telemetry monitoring.
• Responds appropriately in emergency/urgent situations.
• Provides care to post-operative patients.
• Cares for patients with orthopedic diagnoses.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
• (RN) - Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• CCHC Pharmacology Exam (pass prior to start date)
• CCHC Basic Arrhythmia Exam (pass prior to start date)

Schedule Details:

72PP (36 Hours Per Week), Rotating Days/Eves, 7a-7p, Every Other Weekend & Rotating Holidays (Med Surg 3)
