Qualifications

  • ADN is required; BSN preferred.
  • Current NM Board of Nursing RN license or compact license required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • ACLS certification preferred or required within unit timeline.
  • Prior medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and prioritize patient care, delegating to support staff based on acuity and competency.
  • Maintain clinical competency and evaluate patient outcomes to ensure safety.
  • Coordinate care with patients, families, physicians and care teams for continuity and discharge planning.
  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and support patients and families through hospitalization and recovery.
