Job summary

Harris Hill is seeking a FT Clinical Reimbursement Coordinator (MDS) to oversee Medicare/Medicaid case-mix documentation and ensure accurate reimbursement for services within the nursing facility.

The MDS Nurse will manage the assessment schedule, perform concurrent reviews to optimize RUGs, and collaborate with the Business Office to relay case-mix data. RN licensure and LTAC/nursing experience are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current RN licensure in the state of employment.
• One year of long term care clinical nursing experience is required.
• Experience with Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement, MDS completion, case management is desirable.
• Must maintain current BLS/CPR certification (excluding ALFs/ILFs).

Responsibilities

• Maintain an accurate schedule of all MDS assessments and ensure timely submission of MDS assessments.
• Perform concurrent MDS review to optimize RUG categories and reimbursement.
• Communicate case-mix data required for billing to the Business Office.
• Serve as the nursing center resource for MDS/RUGs and state case-mix systems with staff education.
