Job summary

North Shore Healthcare in Wisconsin seeks an MDS Director to lead the RAI process and ensure timely, accurate resident assessments in line with Medicare, Medicaid, OBRA, and other payer rules. You will chair the interdisciplinary care planning team, validate documentation for PDPM coding and reimbursement, monitor billing accuracy, and educate staff on best practices.

Qualifications

• MDS/RAI experience and PPS knowledge required.
• RN in good standing with active license.
• Experience in skilled nursing or post-acute care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the MDS/RAI assessment process.
• Chair the interdisciplinary care planning team.
• Ensure accurate and timely MDS completion and submission.
• Validate documentation supporting PDPM coding and reimbursement.
• Monitor Medicare and Medicaid billing accuracy.
• Provide staff education on documentation best practices.
• Stay current with CMS and regulatory updates.
