Job summary

The Laurels of Kent in Michigan is seeking a Part-time MDS Coordinator RN to manage the Resident Assessment Instrument, including the MDS, CAAs, and care plans, ensuring timely completion and compliance with PDPM and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include supervising MDS staff, training, scheduling, evaluating performance, and coordinating with clinical teams to optimize reimbursement and quality of care.

Qualifications

• Active RN license with valid registration.
• MDS/RAI knowledge and PDPM familiarity preferred.
• Strong leadership and supervisory abilities.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Experience with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise MDS staff and plan work.
• Train MDS nurses as requested.
• Prepare assignment sheets with patient safety in mind.
• Receive calls and arrange replacements for absent staff.
• Prepare performance evaluations and manage pay progression.
• Receive and resolve staff complaints.
• Monitor performance and participate in improvement plans.
• Ensure staff are supervising others as assigned.
