Job summary

Qualifications

• RN licensed with current/state-approval
• RAC-CT/CTA certification required
• BLS certification required
• Knowledge of MDS processes and timelines

• Strong documentation and regulatory compliance skills

Responsibilities

• Coordinate completion of MDS and resident Care Plans within deadlines
• Direct and schedule assessments for Medicare/Medicaid/reimbursement
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to complete MDS process
• Calculate Medicare assessments and PPS dates (5, 14, 30, 60, 90 days)
• Oversee documentation to comply with reimbursement rules
• Attend care plan conferences and participate in staff education
• Lead PPS meetings and ensure appropriate MDS dates and CMS scores
• Submit MDS data to CMS and correct submission errors
