Job summary

Riverview Health in Noblesville, IN seeks a registered nurse to deliver comprehensive patient care across units. You will create and implement individualized care plans, coordinate referrals, and delegate tasks within your scope of practice.

You will document care and communicate plans in the electronic medical record, administer medications per physician orders, transition patients with thorough handoffs, educate patients and families, and may precept new staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing by date of hire.
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Experience: One year as RN in hospital setting preferred.
• License/certifications: Indiana RN license; ACLS; BLS; NRP; STABLE; telemetry may be required for labor/delivery staff.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement a written plan of care addressing patient goals; refer to other services as needed; delegate tasks within scope of practice.
• Observe, document, address, and implement planned interventions; update the team through EMR documentation and verbal reports.
• Administer medications per physician orders; monitor effects and document patient response.
• Transition patients with current care plans and provide timely handoff to incoming staff.
• Inform physicians and care team of changes or abnormal findings; communicate clearly.
• Provide patient and family education at discharge with clear guidance.
• May precept new staff and supervise other care team members.
• Other duties as assigned.
