Job summary

NorthShore University HealthSystem is seeking experienced Registered Nurses for per diem, part time, or full-time roles in our women's and children's service line across multiple locations in Illinois. Minimum two years of inpatient RN experience required.

IL licensure, BSN preferred; BLS, PALS and NRP certifications through AHA are required. Flexible shifts include Day, Evening, and Night; locations include Edward, Elmhurst, Evanston, Highland Park, Northwest Community, and Swedish Hospitals.

Qualifications

• Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing and evaluating the patient plan of care.
• Provide nursing care to all patient populations in the department.
• Maintain regulatory compliance in individual practice.
• Guide and direct assigned unlicensed nursing personnel in delivering patient care.
• Positively contribute to safety outcomes and promote high‑quality patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care for patients in the women's and children's service line.
• Mentor and direct unlicensed nursing personnel.
• Ensure regulatory compliance in daily practice.
• Promote safety and a high-quality patient experience.
• Adapt shifts to per diem scheduling across available locations.
