Job summary

NorthShore University HealthSystem is seeking experienced Registered Nurses with a minimum of two years of inpatient experience for per diem, part-time, or full-time roles across women’s and children’s services, including Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Antepartum, Pediatrics, NICU and PICU.

Flexible shifts across Day, Evening, and Night hours at multiple campuses with evergreen candidacy for future openings; licensure in IL, BSN preferred, BLS/PALS/NRP required.

Qualifications

• Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required.
• BSN degree preferred.
• BLS, PALS and NRP certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years inpatient nursing experience in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Antepartum, Pediatrics, NICU, or PICU.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing and evaluating the patient plan of care.
• Provide nursing care to all patient populations in the department.
• Maintain regulatory compliance in individual practice.
• Assume responsibility, accountability and authority for outcomes of nursing care.
• Guide and direct assigned unlicensed nursing personnel in delivering patient care.
• Positively contribute to safety outcomes and promote high‑quality patient experience.
