Job summary

Essentia Virginia Hospital in Virginia, IL area seeks a registered nurse to provide holistic nursing care in the Birthplace unit. You will perform assessments, planning, interventions, and evaluations while coordinating with the care team across shifts.

Expect 0.6 FTE with 12-hour blocks and rotating day/night schedules including every third weekend and holidays. A competitive incentive program is offered for ADN/BSN applicants.

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing.
• Current nursing licensure in Minnesota.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within one year.
• Preferred: At least one year of Labor and Delivery Experience.

Responsibilities

• Organize and provide nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Delegate care as appropriate to licensed nursing staff.
• Contribute to meeting Essentia Health's mission and comply with Joint Commission and regulatory requirements.

Job Description:

Responsible for organizing and providing nursing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation and job descriptions. Contributes to the meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and meets the requirements of the Joint Commission if applicable and/or other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.

Education Qualifications:

• BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing

This position will work the following:

• 48 hours per pay period

• Every Third Weekend

• Rotating 12 Hour Shifts

• Day Shift: 7:00AM - 7:30PM

• Overnight Shift: 7:00PM - 7:30AM

• Block 72A

Qualified candidates may be eligible for a hiring incentive of up to $7,500 (ADN) and up to $10,000 (BSN)

Licensure/CertificationQualifications:
