Job summary

PeaceHealth in Vancouver, Washington seeks an RN Manager to lead Sterile Processing and perioperative supply logistics, ensuring instruments and supplies are available with compliant, safe operations.

You will drive performance metrics, partner with Infection Prevention and supply chain, and mentor a team to deliver high quality care while managing budgets and implementing new supply chain technologies.

Qualifications

  • BSN with RN licensure in Washington or MS/L must be current.
  • 5+ years perioperative/surgical services experience and 3+ years leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of sterile processing, infection prevention, and perioperative workflows.
  • Budgeting, financial acumen, and regulatory compliance familiarity.
  • BLS certification is current or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Lead operations for Sterile Processing and perioperative logistics to ensure safe, efficient surgical support.
  • Ensure compliance with standards (AAMI, AORN, CDC, DNV).
  • Oversee instrument reprocessing, sterilization, case cart, and inventory management.
  • Collaborate with perioperative leadership, Infection Prevention, and supply chain to optimize workflows.
  • Monitor metrics like turnaround times, delays, and tray accuracy; drive process improvements.
  • Recruit, develop, and lead staff; foster safety, accountability, and teamwork.
  • Manage departmental budgets and pursue cost efficiency and standardization.
  • Support strategic initiatives including value analysis and supply chain tech.

As part of the perioperative RN leadership team, you will also contribute to broader departmental success and step in to support leadership coverage when needed.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Annual Pay Range: $140,899-$211,328

What You’ll Do
  • Lead operations for Sterile Processing and perioperative logistics, ensuring safe and efficient surgical support
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and professional standards (AAMI, AORN, CDC, DNV)
  • Oversee instrument reprocessing, sterilization, case cart systems, and inventory management
  • Partner with perioperative leadership, Infection Prevention, and supply chain to optimize workflow and procedural readiness
  • Monitor and improve performance metrics such as turnaround times, case delays, and tray accuracy
  • Drive continuous process improvement using root cause analysis and corrective action plans
  • Recruit, develop, and lead staff while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and collaboration
  • Manage departmental budgets and identify opportunities for cost efficiency and standardization
  • Support strategic initiatives including value analysis and implementation of supply chain technologies
What You Bring

Required:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Washington/MSL
  • Minimum:
    • 5 years of perioperative or surgical services experience
    • 3 years of leadership or management experience in healthcare operations
  • Knowledge of sterile processing standards, infection prevention, and perioperative workflows
  • Experience with budgeting and financial management
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred:

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
  • CNOR (Certified Perioperative Nurse)
  • Experience in sterile processing operations within hospital surgical services
  • Familiarity with instrument tracking systems and perioperative supply chain technologies
Skills:
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and time management skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration across interdisciplinary teams
  • Ability to manage complex operations and diverse personnel
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
