Job summary

Mercy is seeking an RN Manager- Medical Stepdown to oversee the delivery of nursing care for a defined patient population in a 24-hour unit. This role leads a team, aligns with the Nursing Strategic Plan, and partners with the clinical service line to achieve quality outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree (BSN preferred), an active RN license in Missouri, and at least three years of leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in nursing or related field
• RN license in state of practice
• Minimum of three years clinical leadership experience
• Proficient in use of information systems and data analysis

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of nursing care to a specific patient population on a 24-hour basis
• Implement elements of the Nursing Strategic Plan within departments
• Promote a professional practice environment with high coworker engagement and patient satisfaction
• Ensure safe, quality clinical outcomes and efficient use of resources
