Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis seeks an RN Manager for Medical Stepdown to oversee 24-hour nursing care and ensure high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment. The role emphasizes leadership, data-driven decision making, and alignment with Mercy’s strategic plan.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree, at least three years of clinical experience, and strong interpersonal and PC-based data analysis skills. BSN and Master's are preferred; certification in specialty practice is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; internal transfer applicants without Bachelor's degree may be considered if pursuing a Baccalaureate degree.
• Minimum of three years clinical experience required.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in use of a personal computer and able to analyze data from information systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of nursing care to a specific patient population on a 24-hour basis.
• Promote a professional practice environment aligned with Mercy's mission and service lines.
• Implement elements of the Nursing Strategic Plan within departments.
• Analyze complex data from information systems to drive quality outcomes.
