Job summary

Reston Hospital Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an experienced RN Manager Med Surg Oncology to lead nursing operations and staff in the cancer and surgical services unit. You will oversee clinical decisions, staffing, budgeting, and collaboration with the director to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

The role requires a BSN, RN license in Virginia, BLS, and leadership certification or experience; Master's degree preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN is required.
• Current Virginia RN license.
• BLS certification required; leadership or nursing leadership certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a role model clinically and administratively in Nursing and ancillary staff.
• Manage personnel in the accomplishment of designated goals and provision of nursing care and services.
• Oversee staffing to ensure adequate, competent staffing and efficient daily scheduling.
• Collaborate with the Director and area colleagues to ensure departmental goals and quality outcomes.
• Mentor staff, provide coaching, and participate in hospital governance and development programs.
