Job summary

Logan Health Whitefish seeks an experienced Emergency Department RN leader to serve as RN Manager, Emergency & Critical Care, providing strategic and operational leadership for the ED and SCU, which handle over 12,000 visits yearly.

This role partners with physicians and interdisciplinary leaders to ensure high-quality patient care while aligning staffing, resources, and performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Five (5) years of progressive nursing leadership experience, including significant Emergency Department leadership experience.
• Current Montana RN License or a multistate compact license with authorization to practice nursing in Montana required.
• Working knowledge of healthcare delivery systems and clinical operations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage clinical operations and make sound decisions in a complex healthcare environment.
• Proficiency with electronic health records and computerized clinical documentation systems.
• Strong organizational, communication, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships with physicians, staff and interdisciplinary leaders.
• RQI Provider (BLS) within 7 days of hire/transfer or before independent patient care, whichever comes first.
• ALS within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• PALS within 6 months of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for Emergency Department and SCU operations.
• Lead, develop and engage experienced clinical teams.
• Partner with physicians and interdisciplinary leaders to support high-quality patient care.
• Oversee staffing, resources, quality and departmental performance.
• Support trauma, cardiac and stroke initiatives.
• Lead performance improvement and operational initiatives.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and clinical excellence.
