Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS) Coordinator to join the Advanced Heart Failure team at Banner University Medical Center Phoenix. This day-shift role coordinates care for LVAD/TAH patients from pre-implant to long-term follow-up, educating patients and families and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates bring cardiac nursing experience with ICU preferred, and familiarity with MCS or transplant is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• RN license in state of practice (Arizona)
• BLS certification required
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required
• Minimum five years of clinical nursing experience, with at least two in a clinical specialty
• Master’s degree and ACLS preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate pre-implant evaluations and post-implant care for LVAD/TAH patients
• Educate patients, families, and staff about devices and care pathways
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to optimize clinical, financial, and operational outcomes
• Manage documentation, care plans, and readmissions related to ventricular assist devices
• Support quality improvement initiatives and participate in OR preparation as needed
• Provide after-hours support and post-discharge education to patients and caregivers
• Serve as a resource to community providers and care teams regarding implant processes
