Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a nurse to manage and coordinate the Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS) program, including patient care across clinic visits and hospital stays. You will collaborate with physicians, provide education to patients and caregivers, and maintain specialized MCS equipment.

Role requires ICU nursing experience, CA RN license, and ACLS/BLS; on-call rotation participation is expected. This position supports patient-centered, compliant care in a prominent California health system.

Qualifications

• Prior ICU nurse experience.
• Must have CA RN license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• BSN degree required.
• Experience with VAD/MCS is required.
• Willing to participate in on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in management of the MCS program.
• Coordinate clinical evaluation of MCS candidates.
• Provide patient care during visits, hospital admissions, discharge and follow-up.
• Serve as resource for nursing staff on MCS equipment.
• Oversee patient care to promote efficient, quality care.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
