Job summary

MUSC Health is seeking an experienced Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS) Coordinator to lead coordination of advanced heart failure patients for MCS therapy. This hybrid role includes clinical care and administrative oversight in the MCS Department.

The MCS Coordinator collaborates across disciplines, ensures evidence-based patient care, and provides 24/7 availability. A RN with strong leadership and data management skills is preferred for this pivotal position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing; SC RN licensure or compact state license required.
• Minimum of three years of related clinical nursing experience.
• BLS certification required; ANA Generalist Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate comprehensive care for advancing heart failure patients eligible for MCS therapy.
• Manage postoperative care for patients implanted with MCS and outpatient follow-up.
• Provide 24/7 leadership and clinical coverage in the MCS program; support data collection and research.
