Description:LTC Skilled Nursing RN position available.A minimum of 1 year of experience is required.Every other weekend and holidays as scheduled are mandatory.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a requirement.Floating between two floors is necessary for the role.The patient population includes individuals with multiple comorbidities and acute medical care needs.Skills required include foley catheter care, insulin administration, IV therapy, medication administration, and neurological assessments.Experience with wound care, dressing changes, wound vacs, and colostomy care is essential.Knowledge of end-of-life and palliative care is important.Familiarity with CPAP and BiPAP machines, diabetes monitoring, and the use of Hoyer lifts is needed.Candidates must be able to identify and address COVID-19 care protocols.Successful candidates will be responsible for accurate patient assessments and implementing care plans.A solid color of scrubs is required for the position.The unit operates with a daily census of approximately 75 patients.Outgoing and compassionate communication with patients and families is essential.
