Job summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) at Good Samaritan provides individualized nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) and collaborates with residents, families and an inter-disciplinary team to plan, implement and evaluate care. Candidates should graduate from an accredited nursing program; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

An unencumbered RN license is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program; CCNE/ACEN/NLN CNEA preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current unencumbered RN license in state where practice occurs.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care using the nursing process.
• Collaborate with residents, families and inter-disciplinary colleagues to plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Coordinate resident assessment, education and various nursing interventions.
• Serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel as appropriate.
