Job summary

EmergencyMD is seeking a qualified Second Shift Supervisor (RN or LPN) to lead nursing staff at Kannapolis Health and Rehabilitation. The role focuses on mentoring nurses and CNAs, ensuring exceptional patient care, and driving positive outcomes within a fast-paced environment.

You will oversee clinical care, supervise staff, and coordinate staffing while upholding care standards and regulatory compliance. The position offers a meaningful leadership path in a skilled nursing setting.

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license in good standing.
• At least 3 years of nursing experience (preferred in skilled nursing/long-term care).
• Minimum 1 year of nursing leadership or administrative experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Passion for patient-centered care and team development.

Responsibilities

• Supervise & support nursing staff to ensure high-quality, compassionate care.
• Direct patient care & treatment planning with comprehensive assessments and plans.
• Coordinate & manage staffing needs, assist in hiring, and support team development.
• Monitor documentation compliance and adherence to state/federal regulations.
• Resolve resident and family concerns and maintain resident rights.
• Assist in staff development and preceptor training.
• Drive quality improvement and innovative care processes.
