Luther Park Community is seeking an RN/LPN for a part-time 2p-10:30pm shift at Trinity Center at Luther Park, a 120-bed skilled nursing facility specializing in Alzheimer’s care. The Charge Nurse will plan, organize, and supervise nursing care, orient CNAs/CMAs, and ensure compliance with policies.

Family involvement is encouraged during admissions. The position offers responsibilities in resident care, documentation, and team supervision, with a total compensation package including shift

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing for RN/LPN.
• Current nursing license in good standing in Iowa.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
• One year of geriatric experience preferred.

We have part time opening onour 2p-10:30p working every other weekend

JOB SUMMARY:

The Charge Nurse will beresponsible for planning, organizing, and carrying out nursing care ofresidents. The job responsibilities include orienting, instructing, andsupervising other personnel: CNAs, CMAs. The Charge Nurse complies withestablished policies and procedures and performs professional nursing dutieswithin scope of licensure.

1. Keeps DON/ADON informed of residentstatus and other pertinent matters.
2. Admit and orients new residents andinvolves the family with orientation. Check physician’s orders, transfer formsand pre-admission information. Reviews resident’s medical and socialhistory. Completes admission and documentation forms. Make sure thatresident's supplies and medications are ordered and equipment is workingproperly.
3. Maintains proper documentation offacility records i.e. narcotic records, medical chart forms and weekly skinassessment. Maintains daily, weekly, or monthly weight and vital signsand informs physician/DON/ADON and On Call Manager of any change.

Requirements:

• 1. Graduate of an approvedschool of nursing for RN/LPN
• 2. Current nursing licensein good standing in the state of Iowa
• 3. Current CPR certificationpreferred

• 6. Knowledgeable withcurrent changes in nursing practice
