Luther Park Community in Des Moines, IA is seeking an experienced RN/LPN for a part-time 2:00 pm–10:30 pm shift at Trinity Center, a 120-bed skilled nursing facility specializing in Alzheimer’s care.

As Charge Nurse, you will plan, organize, and supervise nursing care, orient and guide CNAs/CMAs, ensure adherence to policies, and maintain accurate records. Benefits include shift differential, 401K, vacation, tuition assistance, and more.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing for RN/LPN.
• Current nursing license in good standing in the state of Iowa.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
• One year of experience in a geriatric setting preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Post offer employment physical, drug screen, T-spot and background check are required.

Aufgaben

We have part time opening onour 2p-10:30p working every other weekend

JOB SUMMARY:

The Charge Nurse will beresponsible for planning, organizing, and carrying out nursing care ofresidents. The job responsibilities include orienting, instructing, andsupervising other personnel: CNAs, CMAs. The Charge Nurse complies withestablished policies and procedures and performs professional nursing dutieswithin scope of licensure.

1. Keeps DON/ADON informed of residentstatus and other pertinent matters.
2. Admit and orients new residents andinvolves the family with orientation. Check physician’s orders, transfer formsand pre-admission information. Reviews resident’s medical and socialhistory. Completes admission and documentation forms. Make sure thatresident's supplies and medications are ordered and equipment is workingproperly.
3. Maintains proper documentation offacility records i.e. narcotic records, medical chart forms and weekly skinassessment. Maintains daily, weekly, or monthly weight and vital signsand informs physician/DON/ADON and On Call Manager of any change.
