Job summary

Quincy Medical Group is seeking an RN or LPN to support a fast-paced Orthopedics clinic. You will assist with exams, procedures, casting, and patient education, while ensuring accurate documentation and coordinated care.

The role offers a full-time schedule with consistent weekday hours, tight patient flow, and a focus on high-quality outcomes in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • Current Illinois RN or LPN license.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Room patients, obtain vital signs, medications, medical history and other clinical information.
  • Assist providers with examinations, treatments, orthopedic procedures, casting, bracing, and other clinical needs within scope of practice.
  • Respond to patient messages and clinical questions, communicate provider recommendations, and assist with follow-up care.
  • Coordinate referrals, imaging, laboratory work, medications, and other orders as directed.
  • Provide education regarding treatment plans, procedures, medications, post-surgical care, and recovery instructions.
  • Accurately document patient care and communication in the electronic medical record.
  • Collaborate with providers and team members to maintain efficient patient flow and a positive patient experience.

About the Role

As an RN/LPN in Orthopedics, you will provide clinical support to patients experiencing a wide range of orthopedic conditions, injuries, and surgical needs. You will work closely with providers and the care team to support patient visits, procedures, education, and follow-up care. This is a great opportunity for a nurse who enjoys a fast-paced specialty environment, hands-on patient care, and helping patients throughout their orthopedic treatment and recovery.

Schedule & Work Environment

Full-time position, Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, and Friday, 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Hours may vary based on provider and departmental needs. No routine weekends, holidays, overnight shifts, or on-call requirements. Fast-paced orthopedic specialty clinic supporting multiple providers and a high volume of patient interactions.

Primary Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • Current Illinois RN or LPN license required.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification required.
  • Previous orthopedic, specialty clinic, or ambulatory nursing experience preferred.
  • Strong clinical judgment, organization, communication, and patient education skills.

Compensation

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $25.00 - $37.50 per hour for RN candidates and $18.66 - $27.99 per hour for LPN candidates, with actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through bonuses and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
