Job summary

Ohio's Hospice seeks compassionate RNs/LPNs for extended weekend hours in Columbus, OH. This role involves providing high-quality hospice care and driving between patients across Columbus and Newark.

You will perform nursing processes, document care, and work with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comfort and dignity for patients and families. A valid Ohio RN/LPN license is required, with RN preferring BSN and CHPN certification a plus.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio RN or LPN license in good standing.
• BSN preferred for RN candidates.
• Two years of acute-care nursing experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Hospice and Palliative Care certification (CHPN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.

RN/LPN Extended Hours

Position Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dependable RNs/LPNs to provide high-quality hospice care during extended weekend hours. This role is ideal for a nurse who is committed to supporting patients and families through the end-of-life journey and who understands the importance of compassionate, patient-centered care.

Schedule & Service Area

• Saturdays and Sundays
• Driving position serving patients throughout Columbus and Newark
• Must be comfortable driving during daytime, nighttime, and inclement weather

Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, caregivers, and members of the interdisciplinary care team.
• Deliver care in accordance with professional nursing standards and hospice best practices.
• Accurately document patient care, services provided, and clinical information.
• Promote comfort, dignity, and quality of life for patients and their families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active Ohio RN or LPN license in good standing with no current board actions.
• BSN preferred for RN candidates.
• Two years of acute-care nursing experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Hospice and Palliative Care certification (CHPN) preferred. Certification support is available to eligible Ohio's Hospice employees.
• Basic computer skills with the ability to complete electronic clinical documentation.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Ability to maintain the state's minimum required automobile insurance coverage.
• Ability to successfully complete a criminal background check.
• Ability to successfully complete a 10-panel drug screening.
