Job summary

Ohio’s Hospice is seeking an RN/LPN for Extended Hours on a full-time basis in Columbus, OH. This role requires driving across Columbus to provide direct patient care from 6p-6a across three 12-hour shifts per week, plus two holidays. Opportunities to obtain CHPN certification are available for Hospice employees.

Qualified candidates will have an Ohio RN license, CPR, and a BSN preferred. Strong assessment, documentation, and teamwork skills are essential to support patients and families during

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care during extended hours and driving routes across Columbus.

Full Time Direct Patient Care Columbus, OH, US

The RN/LPN Extended Hours Essential Duties Are:

Plans and delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, interventions, implementation, and evaluation; and effectively interacts with patients, families, and other interdisciplinary team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing.

What You Should Know About the RN/LPN Extended Hours Role:

• This is a DRIVING position throughout Columbus
• This is a Full-Time position:
  • 6p-6a 3 12 hour shifts a week and every other weekend.
  • 2 holidays per year required.

RN/LPN Extended Hours Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Ohio without any board actions. Two years acute care nursing experience preferred.
• CPR Certified
• Certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine (CHPN) preferred and will be made available to Ohio's Hospice employees who wish to obtain certification.
• Computer skills sufficient to properly document services and care.
• Ability to drive during daytime, nighttime, or inclement weather.
• Valid Driver's License with Safe Driving Record
• State Minimum Automobile Insurance Coverage
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check
• Must be able to pass a 10 panel drug screen
