Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care to residents. Collaborates with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to plan, implement, and evaluate care. Demonstrates competency within the full scope of nursing practice, including preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. Coordinates care, assesses residents, educates residents, and performs nursing interventions.

May serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel within their scope of practice, ensuring safe and reliable resident care. Functions within the standards outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and the ANA Code of Ethics.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited nursing program preferred; a Bachelor's Degree in nursing is preferred. Must hold an unencumbered RN license in the state of practice or multistate licensure if in an NLC state. Maintain required competencies and certifications.
