Job summary

Genesis HealthCare in Sistersville, WV is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide compassionate care in a long-term care setting. You will perform nursing assessments, develop care plans, and administer medications while collaborating with the healthcare team.

You will establish measurable goals, coordinate with families, supervise staff, and communicate changes across shifts. Must be a graduate of an approved nursing program with WV licensure and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing and currently licensed by the State Board of Nursing.
• CPR Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments and collaborate with the nursing team, other disciplines, patients, and families to develop effective plans of care.
• Establish realistic, measurable short- and long-term patient goals with interventions in place to minimize rehospitalizations and evaluate outcomes.
• Administer medications and perform treatments per physician orders.
• Delegate patient care responsibilities to staff and supervise them to ensure interventions are implemented.
• Communicate patient information with assigned staff and between shifts.
