Job summary

Southcoast Health System, Inc. is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join their in-house travel team for a 11-13 Week Assignment. The role involves coordinating nursing care, participating in patient education, and maintaining professional nursing standards. Candidates must have a current RN license in Massachusetts and experience in Med Surg or Tele nursing, with additional certifications required.

The pay rate is $65.00 per hour, including eligibility for health insurance and a retirement plan. Nurses must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or qualify for an exemption.

Qualifications

• Current Southcoast Health System employees are not eligible for consideration.
• Minimum of one year of Med Surg/Tele nursing experience required.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and COVID-19 or exempt.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate total nursing care for patients and participate in patient and family teaching.
• Provide leadership by working cooperatively with nursing and patient team personnel.
• Maintain standards for professional nursing practice within an assigned patient care unit.

Skills

Competent in reading and interpreting basic telemetry strips

Ability to efficiently float to other like-units for patient assignments

Working knowledge and experience with PC-based applications

Education

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent

Current RN Licensure in Massachusetts

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

Overview

MTM Staffing, brought to you by Southcoast Physician’s Group, is hiring experienced Registered Nurses for our in-house travel team.

• 11-13 Week Assignment, with option to extend for 1 additional 13 week assignment if available
• $65.00/hr
• Health Insurance and 403B retirement plan eligible

Position Assignment Details:

• Hours: 24 or 36 hrs
• Shifts: 7:00 pm-7:00 am
• Must work every other weekend and holiday, 1 weekend shift every week and every other holiday OR Every Weekend
• Area Assignment: Med Surg Tele - New Bedford, MA

*During assignment, maybe asked to float to any Southcoast Hospital: Charlton Memorial—Fall River, St. Luke’s—New Bedford and Tobey—Wareham

Responsibilities

Under direction of the Manager, Patient Services, or designee of individual assigned unit, perform a variety of duties involving coordinating total nursing care for patients, participating in patient and family teaching, and providing leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice within an assigned patient care unit. Has knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, which is appropriate to the age group of patients regularly served.

Qualifications

• Current Southcoast Health System employees are not eligible for consideration. Former employees must be separated from Southcoast for at least 9 months to be eligible.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent is required.
• Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
• ACLS is also required.
• Minimum of one year of Med Surg/Tele nursing experience required.
• Competent in reading and interpreting basic telemetry strips.
• Ability to efficiently float to other like-units for patient assignments is required.
• Working knowledge and experience with PC-based applications.
• Epic experience is preferred.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

Pay Range

USD $65.00 - USD $65.00 / Hr.
