Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a full-time or part-time member. The role includes supervising staff, performing administrative duties, and maintaining a quality assurance program in a long-term care setting.

Candidates must hold an active RN license, have supervisory experience, and be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, nights, and weekends. Compensation is based on experience with a $1,500 sign-on bonus and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• 2 years of supervisor experience preferred in health care.
• Post-secondary education required; able to read/write and follow directions.
• Regular attendance required.
• Related experience at a level necessary to perform the role.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, and charting.
• Supervise licensed and non-licensed staff; counseling and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Maintain ongoing quality assurance for the nursing unit.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of care.
• Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Deal tactfully with residents, families, staff, and external agencies.
• Stay knowledgeable of nursing practices, laws, regulations, and guidelines for long-term care.
• Provide leadership and supervise other personnel.
