Job summary

Mount Carmel Behavioral Health Hospital in Columbus, OH, is seeking an RN House Supervisor to lead shifts, manage staffing, and ensure safe, compassionate patient care.

Shifts include 6a–6:30p every other weekend and 7a–7:30p on weekdays; pay is $39.60–$49.22 per hour, depending on experience. Active Ohio RN license and a BSN are preferred, with 1+ year of RN/psychiatric leadership experience recommended.

Qualifications

• BSN from accredited school of nursing preferred.
• Current registered nursing license in State of Ohio required.
• 1+ year of RN experience preferred; 1 year in psychiatric/recov­ery programs preferred.
• Some experience as a charge RN or leadership role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Anticipates census and acuity changes and allocates nursing resources accordingly.
• Model customer service and urgency for patient safety.
• Enforce policies for delivery of patient care and ensure proper staffing.
• Maintain accurate MARs, charts, logs, and shift reports.
• Mentor and train staff and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate care with physicians and diagnostic information; ensure consultations.
• Administer medications and maintain records per policy.
• Lead admissions/discharges and communicate changes to physicians.
