Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to support day shift nursing care across units. The role requires a BSN or associates with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years, Ohio RN license, and CPR with potential for NRP/PALS/ACLS as determined by leadership.

The position offers a 0.6 FTE (24 hours/week) schedule, with weekend shifts and a differential of $5.00 on weekends; expected to float to other Behavioral Health units as needed.

Qualifications

• BSN or Associate degree with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Current CPR certification required. Must be willing to obtain and maintain NRP, PALS, ACLS, APHON or other necessary certification as determined by your manager based on business unit.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care using a Family Centered approach.
• Assesses individualized patient needs and communicates priorities to LPNs, PCAs, Unit Coordinators, and Allied Health staff.
• Plans, implements, educates and evaluates care using Evidence-Based Practices.
• Utilizes Therapeutic Communication while monitoring patient and family needs.
• Documents according to organizational standards, policies, and procedures.
