Job summary

Summerlin Hospital, a 496-bed facility in Las Vegas, seeks a registered nurse to provide safe, compassionate care and lead the healthcare team in delivering patient-centered services.

Required NV RN license with BLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP as required. BSN preferred. At least 1 year acute care experience or completion of a specialty course within 6 months. UHS VHS commitment to excellence and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and completion of a specialty course/ or equivalent within 6 months of hire.
• One-year acute care experience or successful completion of an approved specialty course within 6 months of hire.
• Current RN license in the State of Nevada. Current BLS Certification. Current ACLS Certification (adult patients), current PALS Certification (pediatric patients) or current NRP Certification (Neonatal patients) as required by department.
• Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
• Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care.
• Oversees and guides employees under supervision.
