Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in state of practice.
• IBCLC/CLC/CBS certification required.
• BLS certification required.

• Pool/per diem positions require lactation consultant experience in a WIS environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient and family needs and plan individualized lactation care.
• Deliver lactation education and ongoing support to mothers and newborns.
• Lead continuing education programs related to lactation and update materials as needed.
• Develop and execute discharge plans incorporating patient-specific needs.
• Coordinate care with the health care team and ensure accurate documentation.
