Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, VA is seeking an RN for the Labor and Delivery and Postpartum Care Unit. The role involves providing compassionate, high-quality nursing care to laboring patients from admission to discharge during nights on the L&D/postpartum unit.

The department offers a 22-bed L&D, 12 Postpartum rooms, a 20-room nursery, and opportunities for professional growth within Sentara Health. A BSN or MSN is preferred, with Virginia or compact licensure and BLS/ACLS/PALS

Qualifications

• Provide competent nursing care using the nursing process.
• Adhere to standards of practice and professional performance.
• Demonstrate clinical knowledge across labor, delivery, and postpartum areas.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing care for laboring patients.
• Coordinate care from admission to discharge for L&D and Postpartum.
• Support OB/GYN surgical patients including hysterectomies and mastectomies.
