Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is hiring a Full-Time Registered Nurse for the High-Risk Labor and Delivery Unit. The position features rotating Third (Night) shift, 36 hours per week.

Preferred applicants have Labor & Delivery experience, with a sign‑on bonus of up to $15,000 for qualified candidates and a comprehensive benefits package to support growth and well‑being. Virginia licensure (or Compact) with BLS, NRP, and PALS within specified timeframes completing the

Qualifications

RN license in Virginia or Compact Multistate license in good standing
BLS certification within 90 days of hire
NRP certification within 6 months of hire
PALS certification within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive obstetrical and surgical care to patients in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity environment.
Cross‑train to scrub, circulate, recover, and labor/deliver as needed.
Collaborate with physicians, resident physicians, maternal‑fetal medicine specialists, surgical techs, and administrative staff to provide seamless, patient‑centered care.
Provide hands‑on learning opportunities and mentorship for resident physicians
