Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Labor and Delivery at Liberty Hospital Medical Plaza East. This night-shift, full-time (with possible part-time options) position is based at Liberty location and offers the chance to contribute to high-quality maternity care.

The RN will provide holistic patient care, coordinate with physicians, educate patients and families, and participate in lifelong learning and professional development within a collaborative team

Qualifications

• Must have High School Graduate
• Associate Degree Nursing required
• Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN) in KS or MO (or compact license)
• CPR/AED/BLS certification required (BLS within 14 days)

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to coordinate interdisciplinary patient care.
• Provides safe, therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way.
• Demonstrates leadership in decision-making and mentorship of others.
• Maintains patient safety and participates in ongoing professional development.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to improve practice and outcomes.
