Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus in Topeka, KS is seeking a night shift, part-time Registered Nurse for the Post Partum / Labor and Delivery unit to deliver safe, evidence-based care to mothers and newborns in a compassionate, patient-centered environment.

You will assess patient needs, develop and revise the plan of care, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team while complying with the Kansas Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in nursing and Kansas RN licensure.
• ACLS required for Tele, ICU, and PCU; BLS within 14 days.
• Oncology certification post-surgery; all certifications within first year.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate safe patient care delivery for postpartum/L&D patients.
• Assess patient needs, develop and revise care plans, and document progress.
• Delegate tasks to support staff and ensure compliance with the Kansas Nurse Practice Act.
• Participate in team handoffs and patient education.
