Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist High Point Medical Center is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a 0.75 FTE role on a 30-hour week, with alternating 12-hour shifts, including every weekend night from 1900 to 0730. The unit features 6 labor suites, 3 triage rooms, and 1 recovery room, delivering compassionate, evidence-based maternal care.

The ideal candidate holds an approved nursing degree, an active RN license, and BLS certification; BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing–approved nursing program.
• Active, unrestricted RN license (multi-state compact and/or state-specific based on practice location).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, patient-centered maternal care using the nursing process, clinical judgment, and evidence-based practices—monitoring conditions and adjusting care to achieve optimal outcomes for mothers and newborns.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams while promoting safety, quality, and accountability—maintaining documentation, supporting communication and delegation, and engaging in ongoing professional development and flexible patient care support.
