Position Summary:

Assesses, plans, delegates, and coordinates nursing care for patients during the shift, collaborating with the healthcare team. Responsibilities include identifying patient needs, supervising staff, responding to emergencies, documenting care, administering medications and treatments, maintaining equipment, ensuring safety, following physician orders, and using fetal monitoring with interpretation and interventions.

Qualifications:

• Current Virginia RN license at hire
• Registered in Virginia; no prior clinical experience required, but 6 months Labor/Delivery experience preferred
• Completion of hospital orientation within 30 days
• CPR and NRP certification within 30 days of hire; ACLS preferred; AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification required within 2 years or within 1 year of hire
