Job summary

Endeavor Health in Evanston, IL seeks a Per Diem Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery and postpartum to join the ISCU Resource Team on the night shift. Location includes Evanston and Highland Park Hospitals, with night hours 2300-0730 and 1900-0730 and weekend/holiday requirements per level agreement.

The role requires IL RN license, NLN-accredited nursing education, BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP, and at least two years in acute care L&D/ISCU.

Qualifications

• Current IL RN license required.
• Graduate of NLN-accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP Certification for Healthcare Provider required.
• Minimum two years of acute care experience in Labor and Delivery and/or ISCU.

Responsibilities

• Independently provide safe, effective nursing care for labor, delivery and postpartum patients.
• Utilize nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Supervise and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in care delivery.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes and continuity of care.
• Contribute to safety and high-quality patient experience.

$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

Position: Per Diem, Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery and postpartum

Location: Evanston and Highland Park Hospitals

Per Diem

Hours: Night shift 2300-0730 and 1900-0730; weekend and holiday requirements per level agreement

Per Diem Commitment Level: Per Diem Level 1: 32-72 hrs. or Per Diem Level 2: 73-110 hrs. or Per Diem Level 3 : 111-144 hrs. / per 6-week schedule

Required Travel: Evanston and Highland Hospital

What you will do:

• Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for labor and delivery and postpartum patients
• Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
• Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care
• Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
• Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience

What you will need:

• License: Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
• Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred
• Certification: BLS/ ACLS/PALS / NRP Certification for the Healthcare Provider required. (AHA)
• Experience: A minimum two years of recent acute care clinical experience in Labor and Delivery and Postpartum and/ or ISCU experience required
• Unique or Preferred Skills: Labor and Delivery and postpartum and /or ISCU experience required
