Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN is seeking a Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery. This full-time role covers day shifts from 7am to 7pm and requires accountability for direct patient care from admission through discharge.

The department features eight labor and delivery suites, two triage bays, two ORs, and personalized obstetric care, with a commitment to evidence-based practice and family-centered care.

Qualifications

• Current Indiana RN license or compact state equivalent.
• BLS certification required.
• NRP, ACLS, and STABLE certifications required or completed within specified hire timelines.
• Previous Labor & Delivery nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct comprehensive nursing care from admission to discharge.
• Collaborate with the on-shift team to meet patient, family, and coworker needs.

Job Duties:

In this role, the RN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge. The Registered Nurse will function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers.

About the Department:

Labor and Delivery is made up of eight labor and delivery suites, two triage bays, two operating rooms and two recovery bays with wireless monitoring capabilities. Natural birthing options such as nitrous oxide, laboring tubs, and birthing balls available. On average, there are around 1,000 births annually. A minimum of 1 year RN experience required.

Qualifications:

• Current Indiana or compact state RN license
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• NRP certification required (obtained within 6 months of hire).
• ACLS certification required (obtained within 6 months of hire).
• S.T.A.B.L.E certification required (obtained within 12 months of hire).
• Previous L&D nursing experience preferred.
