Vitruvian Health in Georgia is seeking a registered nurse for Labor and Delivery to provide direct patient care to adolescent and adult patients using the nursing process. You will manage care for obstetric patients and foster teamwork across the unit.

JOB SUMMARY

Provides direct care to adolescent and adult patients in Labor and Delivery utilizing the nursing process. Is responsible for managing care of assigned obstetric patients. Demonstrates ability to provide timely and efficient patient care to meet patient needs and expectations. Fosters an environment of teamwork and collaboration with staff members. Performs all duties and maintains standards in accordance with all hospital policies and procedures.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program or will obtain prior to working as a RN. As evidenced by primary source of verification.
• Licensure: Current Georgia RN or a multi‑state license meeting eNLC criteria professional licensure or will obtain prior to beginning work as a RN. BLS, CPR required, NRP must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Experience: None
• Skills: Nursing skills as defined in the Law Governing the Practice of Nursing in Georgia. Competency consistent with core nursing skills. Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians and other associates throughout the organization in order to provide excellent care and maintain effective working relationships.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS

Works in typical perinatal health care setting with adolescent and adult patients who may experience a wide range of acute medical and/or surgical problems. Required to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Call time is required. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye‑hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions. Requires exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
