Vitruvian Health in the northwest Georgia region seeks a skilled RN to provide and coordinate direct care for pediatric to geriatric patients across acute care floors. You will float to ICU and Emergency Department as needed, using the nursing process, with emphasis on professionalism, growth, and compassionate patient- centered care.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • BSN or MSN preferred.
  • Current Georgia RN license or multi-state license meeting eNLC criteria.
  • BLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred.
  • MOAB preferred.
  • 1+ year of nursing experience preferred.
  • Nursing skills per Georgia Nursing scope; unit care skills checklist.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and coordinate direct care for pediatric to geriatric patients.
  • Float to all acute care floors including ICU and Emergency Department.
  • Utilize the nursing process to manage patient care.

JOB SUMMARY

Provides and coordinates direct care to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients in to float to all acute care floors at Hamilton Medical enter including ICU and the Emergency Department for admitted holds the Progressive Care Unit utilizing the nursing process. Is responsible for appropriately managing care of assigned patients who present with illnesses and/or diseases whose needs fall between what must be delivered on most general medical floors. Demonstrates professional growth and development. Demonstrates a commitment to service, Hamilton’s mission, values, and professionalism.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
  • BSN or MSN preferred
  • Licensure/Certification: Current Georgia RN or a multi-state license meeting eNLC criteria professional licensure or will obtain prior to beginning work as a RN.
  • BLS required ACLS/PALS preferred MOAB preferred
  • Experience: One or more years of experience preferred
  • Skills: Nursing skills as defined in the Law Governing the Practice of Nursing in Georgia. Additionally, proficient in special skills as demonstrated through completion of the Unit care skills check-off.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS

Works in typical acute health care setting with pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients experiencing a wide range of medical and/or surgical problems. Required to work flexible schedule including weekends. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions. Requires exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
