Job summary

Riverside Community Hospital is seeking a Labor and Delivery registered nurse to provide exceptional direct patient care in the Labor and Delivery setting. You will assess and plan individualized patient care, work within a supportive team, and contribute to a family-like unit.

Requirements include a CA RN license, nursing degree, BLS/ACLS/NRP certifications, and acute care experience with a preference for Labor & Delivery. The role emphasizes patient advocacy and collaboration with physicians.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current California Registered Nurse License.
• A minimum of 1 year of acute care experience, prefer previous experience in Labor & Delivery.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Current NRP
• National RN certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• You will communicate with physicians about changes in patients’ clinical condition.
• You will respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• You will act in a composed and professional manner, especially under pressure.
• You will perform general nursing duties in all Maternal Child Health departments with adequate supervision.
• You will maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts.
• You will participate in performance improvement activities.
• You will act as the patient’s advocate, as circumstances require.
