Job summary

MountainView Hospital in Las Vegas, NV is seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. You will provide preventative and supportive intra-operative care tailored to each patient’s needs.

The role requires L&D experience, active Nevada RN license, BLS, and certifications (ACLS, NRP, STABLE, AWHONN fetal monitoring). You’ll work in Maternal Child Health with professional collaboration and patient advocacy.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or equivalent.
• Current license to practice as a registered Nurse in the State of Nevada.
• Current BLS required.
• ACLS certification required within six (6) months of Hire/Transfer.
• NRP required within three (3) months of Hire/Transfer.
• S.T.A.B.L.E. current certification must be obtained within 6 months of Hire/Transfer.
• AWHONN Fetal monitoring validation
• Minimum of 1-year recent labor and delivery nursing experience in a comparable unit.
• Proficiency in surgical suite nursing procedures and skills strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• You will communicate with physicians about changes in patients’ clinical condition
• You will respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment
• You will act in a composed and professional manner, especially under pressure
• You will perform general nursing duties in all Maternal Child Health departments with adequate supervision
• You will maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts
• You will participate in performance improvement activities
• You will act as the patient’s advocate, as circumstances require
