Job summary

The Commonwealth Health is seeking a Labor and Delivery nurse for the Regional Hospital of Scranton. This role involves providing specialized care to expectant mothers and newborns during childbirth.

The successful candidate will monitor fetal heart rates, assist physicians with deliveries and C-sections, and offer postpartum care. Candidates must possess a nursing license from Pennsylvania and relevant CPR and neonatal certifications.

Qualifications

• Must have a current nursing license in Pennsylvania.
• CPR certification is required.
• Completion of the Neonatal Resuscitation Program is necessary.

A Labor and Delivery (L&D) nurse is a registered nurse who provides specialized care to expectant mothers before, during and immediately after childbirth, as well as care for newborns.

Key duties include monitoring fetal heart rates, managing contractions, assisting physicians with deliveries or C-sections, and providing postpartum care.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice professional nursing issued by the State of Pennsylvania
• Current CPR
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (upon completion of orientation)
• STABLE Program (within 6 months of hire)
• Cardiac Advanced Life Support Program (within 6 months of hire)
