Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Labor & Delivery assignment in Payson, Arizona. This 13-week contract offers a 36-hour work week across three 12-hour shifts with rotating scheduling, in a hospital Women’s Services setting.

Ideal candidates will have current RN licensure, acute-care experience, and strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills. BLS required; ACLS/NRP may be required based on facility needs.

Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery

Location: Payson, Arizona

Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Schedule: 36 Hours/Week

Shift: 3 × 12-Hour Shifts with Rotating Schedule

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team in Payson, Arizona, for a 13-week contract assignment in Women’s Services. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care while working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in a hospital setting.

This position offers a 36-hour weekly schedule consisting of three 12-hour shifts with a rotating schedule. The ideal candidate should be flexible and comfortable working rotating shifts based on unit and patient‑care needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to patients in the Women’s Services setting.
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and continuously monitor patient conditions.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, treatments, and other prescribed interventions safely and accurately.
  • Monitor vital signs, laboratory results, fetal or maternal status, and other relevant clinical indicators as appropriate.
  • Recognize changes in patient condition and promptly communicate concerns to physicians and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Collaborate with physicians, midwives, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to support positive patient outcomes.
  • Provide education and emotional support to patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, procedures, and discharge instructions.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation in the electronic medical record.
  • Follow hospital policies, nursing standards, infection‑control procedures, and patient‑safety guidelines.
  • Participate in patient and family education and promote a positive patient experience.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, flexibility, and effective communication in a fast‑paced hospital environment.
  • Advocate for patients and their families while maintaining confidentiality and respecting individual needs and preferences.
Requirements
  • Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Previous acute‑care hospital nursing experience.
  • Experience in Labor & Delivery, Women’s Services, Maternal‑Child Health, or a closely related specialty preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical‑thinking, and decision‑making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple patient‑care priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • ACLS, NRP, or other specialty certifications may be required depending on facility and unit requirements.
  • Ability to commit to the full 13-week contract and scheduled 36 hours per week.
