Job summary

LaborEdge, LLC is seeking a Travel Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery on a 13-week contract in Alabama. The RN will provide comprehensive obstetrical care across antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases, following Nursing Process and hospital policies.

Requirements include 2+ years in Labor and Delivery, Alabama RN license, and ACLS/BLS/NRP certifications; travel and relocation considerations apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications.
• Licensed to practice in Alabama (no NURSYS hits).

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is accountable for providing comprehensive Obstetrical care during the antepartum, intrapatum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases to Labor and Delivery patients. This role involves utilizing the Nursing Process according to the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in anticipation and planning for the safe delivery of patient care.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education.
• Delegate patient care priorities based on the education and experience of available staff.
• Provide direction and supervision of personnel delivering patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications.
• Licensed to practice in Alabama (no NURSYS hits).
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.
