The I‑Flex RN position works in a float pool unit and fulfills short‑term assignments in hospital units and departments as a Staff Registered Nurse. The RN is responsible for managing and delivering patient care using the nursing process and is flexible to accept assignments in various departments within the designated float pool area. Assignments vary day‑to‑day, for a few weeks at most, and the RN may be on call during peak census periods. This position requires population‑specific competencies and follows the I‑Flex Resource Pool guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assessments and re‑assessments.
• Develops plan of care.
• Implements appropriate patient care interventions.
• Evaluates patient care interventions.
• Supervises and coordinates licensed and non‑licensed personnel in the provision of care to patients as assigned.
• Provides guidance and mentorship to non‑licensed personnel and students, as appropriate.
• Understands expectations and agrees to follow the I‑Flex Resource Pool guidelines and reports to the leadership of the I‑Flex Resource Pool and designated unit leadership during assignments.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Oklahoma or a current multistate license from a Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) member state.
• Two years equivalent RN patient‑care experience within the past three years (two years LPN or paramedic experience equals one year RN).
• Current BLS certification upon hire, or completion within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS or NRP certification, or must obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
• Must operate an INTEGRIS‑owned vehicle or a personal vehicle (non‑INTEGRIS‑owned) and have a current Oklahoma State driver’s license with a driving record acceptable to our insurance carrier.
• Additional qualifications are required for placement in a specialty area such as Critical Care, Emergency Department, Labor & Delivery, and Rehab Unit. Experience, knowledge, and competency validation will occur prior to placement in a specialty area assignment.
• Department‑specific competencies will be completed during the orientation process.
